Sergei Soloviev questioned if "all this play of meanings around Gradus - degree etc include also "academic degree", "graduate studies" etc as some of "secondary resonances"?"

I'm uncertain of my psychoanalytic sources but once, while reading a comment on Freud's work about Jensen's Gradiva, I understood that "Gradiva" meant "one who advances" and that it developed from the same a root as "aggression".
If this information is true, here we might have another element that adds "secondary resonances" to Gradus' name.
