Sergei Soloviev questioned if "all this
play of meanings around Gradus - degree etc include also "academic
degree", "graduate studies" etc as some of "secondary
resonances"?"
I'm uncertain of my psychoanalytic sources but
once, while reading a comment on Freud's work about Jensen's Gradiva,
I understood that "Gradiva" meant "one who advances" and that
it developed from the same a
root as "aggression".
If this information is true, here we might have
another element that adds "secondary resonances" to Gradus' name.
