I had no idea that my text was unclear, despite my difficulty with the English.
I do know that /'notes for further use/' are Shade's, inserted just before he added one of the lines about life is a message scribbled in the dark, or the other one ( I haven't yet memorized Pale Fire), part of VN's strategies of involution.
Anyway, now I got your point: both JS and CK started to merge and lost track of what was private, what was public. Thanks.
