[EDNOTE. This is sad news indeed, but I am glad to hear that Zembla will probably remain accessible in its current state. I am sure that other Nabokovians will join me in thanking editor Jeff Edmunds for the beautifully designed, well-organized, incredibly informative website--a truly invaluable resource for fans and scholars alike--that he generously maintained for the past two decades. -- SES]
As of today,
December 1, 2015 (the 20th anniversary of ZEMBLA’s first day “live” on the Web), ZEMBLA is officially closed. All pages and files currently part of the site (
https://www.libraries.psu.edu/nabokov/zembla.htm) will remain at the existing addresses for the foreseeable future, but no updates, corrections, or additions to the site will be made.
In the (unlikely) event that the institution currently hosting the site (The Pennsylvania State University Libraries) wishes to cease hosting the files, an effort will be made to find a new home for them before they are removed from the Web.
Best wishes,
Jeff Edmunds--
