Dear List,

It is with great sorrow that I report the death of Stan Kelly-Bootle, a longtime N-L contributor.  Stan was a fount of knowledge about languages, mathematics, computer science, sport, music, entertainment, and British culture, among many other things, and his spirited contributions to the List were always amusing and informative.

John Chettoe sent the following news of Stan's death:

Not sure this has been picked up on the list, but that indefatigable polymath and contributor to the list Stan Kelly-Bootle has just passed away at the age of 84.
