The poem, entitle “A Poem”, is on page 160 of his Selected Poems (Knopf 2012), first published in the Atlantic Monthly 171, no.1 (January 1943), p.116.

I happened to pick up the book Poems to Learn by Heart edited by Caroline Kennedy. In it is a poem attributed to VN. “When he was small, when he would fall”. Does anyone know the origin of this poem. I don’t believe it is in Poems and Problems.
