Another living link to "Lolita" is gone. Patti Page has just died. She was undoubtedly the "Patty" listed by Humbert as one of the pop singers whom Dolly was fond of listening to.

Page's most famous recording was "Tennessee Waltz" (1950), which featured the lines: "Now I know just how much I have lost. Yes I lost my little darlin' the night they were playing the beautiful Tennessee waltz."
