Prompted by Andrea Pitzer's query, we found the text of V.D.Nabokov's speech
made in Moscow on August 14, 1917. Contrary to the inaccurate memoir
that I have yet to locate, it doesn't contain any apology of death
penalty but in it VDN strongly supports the proposed policy of Gen.L.G.Kornilov
aimed at restoring order in the country and firmly dismisses
the possibility of separate peace negotiations.
