After my query last month on the new Cátedra edition (2oo8) of LATH,
labelled "enlarged and corrected" by editor Mr.Javier Aparicio Maydeu, it
has revealed as a constant source of myrth. Page 111, footnote: it is well
known the respect of Nabokov for great russian novelists, like Tolstoi (a
faraway relation of his family), Dostoievski, Gogol and Pushkin...
Dostoievski indeed! has this blessed Mr. Aparicio read anything about
Nabokov as a teacher?
