I just received my copy of Michael Maar's new book and am very
pleased. Mr Maar seems to me to strike just the right balance of
appreciation of Nabokov's genius and unique qualities with a nuanced
scepticism of the master's pronouncements. He has noticed overarching
links between works that I certainly had not noticed and that so far
as I am aware have gone unnoticed by others. Very highly recommended.
