Design and conquer: Pure talent
December 4, 2009 at 11:31 am by Debbie Michaud in BooksThe New York Times‘ Book Design Review blog has published its first round of nominations for the best book cover of 2009, which includes Cara Petrus’ design for local author Terra Elan McVoy’s Pure. Blogger Joseph Sullivan asked the staff of three indie booksellers to provide the nominations. Pure’s nod comes from WORD in Brooklyn, whose list also includes new looks for Vladimir Nabokov’s The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov and Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. Three more lists to come (two from bookstores and one from Sullivan). In the meantime, readers can vote at the blog for their favorites.Culture Surfing - http://blogs.creativeloafing.com/culturesurfing/
