I believe a search of the archives will unearth a brief discussion from 2003 or 2004 in which it was postulated that PF might have a partial genesis in VN&#39;s reading of RF&#39;s &quot;New Hampshire.&#39;  Nothing much came of it at the time, but perhaps a new look at the matter will reveal something of interest.<br>
