FILM REVIEW
Venus
There's probably nothing more disconcerting than an old man yelling something about a fish finger and his rectum, but then Venus is a film dedicated to uncomfortable moments.
It basically takes the scandalous relationship Nabokov created in Lolita and ages Humbert a few decades so that he's in his 70s and ages Lo by just a few years so she's in her late teens. For whatever reason, it's still just as creepy -- and yet moving.
