Knight News Staff Writer Alexandra Elbaum recently spoke to Myla briefly over the phone about the story behind the novel. --------------------------- Q: Wickett's Remedy has a plethora of other voices alongside the novel, like whispers of the dead and newspaper clippings from the era; where did you come up with the idea to include them alongside the margins? A: One of my favorite books, Tale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov is an epic poem with similar annotations. While reading it, you realize that a very important part of the story is in the annotations themselves, and I was hoping to do something similar.
