Kampnagel: Multimediale Zugfahrt

Hamburg - Nicht einmal in der Zugtoilette ist der Kokser ungestört - Big Brother is watching. In Branko Simic' Inszenierung nach Vladimir Nabokovs Short Story "Zufall" kennt die Videoüberwachung keine Grenzen. Auf Schritt und Tritt werden die Zugreisenden im Berlin-Paris-Express von einem Paparazzo mit der Videokamera verfolgt.

Es scheint, als hätte Simic sich den Wunsch erfüllt, Nabokovs Erzählung über ein getrennt reisendes Ehepaar, das sich im Zug zufällig nicht über den Weg läuft, zu verfilmen. Seine Inszenierung auf Kampnagel ist halb Theater, halb Kino, wobei Kameramann Frank Bussacker wacklige Aufnahmen in bester Dogma-Manier gelingen, die auf zwei Kinoleinwände projiziert werden. Der Zuschauer hat die Qual der Wahl, er zappt mit den Augen unentwegt zwischen Leinwand und Bühne hin und her.

Ist es Zufall, dass die Bühne an "Dogville" erinnert, den neuesten Film des dänischen Regisseurs Lars von Trier, Erfinders des puristischen Dogma-Kinos? Im Raum verteilt sind verschiedene Spielorte: Wartesaal, Erste-Klasse-Abteil, Zugrestaurant und Toilette. Fehlende Abteiltüren werden gern mal pantomimisch geöffnet. Den Akteuren bleibt ansonsten wenig Platz, um sich schauspielerisch zu entfalten. Wie auch, auf engen Zugklos?

Das Bild- und Tonbrimborium tut sein Übriges. Es soll wohl hip sein, hemmt aber die Schauspieler, die als Staffage erscheinen in einem multimedialen Aktionsdonnerwetter. Damit Nabokovs Geschichte über ein Emigrantenschicksal nicht ganz auf der Strecke bleibt, lässt Simic die Handlung von zwei Erzählern vortragen, die nach Art von Nachrichtensprechern aus dem Hintergrund den Text der Story vorlesen. Dabei muss man darauf gefasst sein, dass es bei dem vielen technischen Schnickschnack zu Bild- und Tonausfällen kommt, die den Sonderzug aus Pankow fast zum Entgleisen bringen. Dennoch kriegt er gerade noch die Kurve. Verlass ist zumindest in einer Hinsicht auf diese Bahn: Der Zufalls-Zug hat keine Verspätung und erreicht nach einer letztlich doch recht kurzweiligen Stunde rechtzeitig das Ziel. (tws)
