Dear Alain,
It is rare to find such personal reassurances from fellow Nabokovians on the ListServe.
Unfortunately, I am unable to meet up with you, as I live in Vermont, (half an hour from your eponymous Lake Champlain!) where we are in the midst of an epic post-vernal encroachment of ice, snow, wind, sleet, freezing rain and cold of Zemblian proportions.
Notwithstanding, I was warmed by your message in my morning inbox.
Good fortunes on your western sojourn.
