query, I would like to mention that my Word 6 spellchecker wants to
correct Humbert to "Hombre," Quilty to Quietly, and Kinbote to Cenobite.
Even more charmingly --Pushkin to Pushpin and his "Onegin" to Oregon.
Apparently in cyberspace, Nabokov's translation appeared as "Pushpin's
