NABOKOVIANS: In my New Years message, I passed on a couple of novels that
I had particularly enjoyed (and suspected that VN might also). My choices
were Alex Theroux's -Darconville's Cat- and Rich Powers' -Operation
Wandering Souls-. I asked subscribers for their own recommendations. Below
is the first reply. For what's worth, I found Ms. Tart's novel enjoyable,
but less than inspired from the stylistic viewpoint. Editor

_the secret history_ has some passages that provide
the same thrill as nabokov... check it out.
