Another review of Inna Broude's Ot Khodasevich do Nabokova:
nostal'gicheskaia tema v poezii pervoi russkoi emigratsii ["From
Khodasevich to Nabokov: the Nostalgia Theme in the Poetry of the
First Emigration"] (Tenafly, N.J.: Hermitage, 1990) has belatedly come to my
attention. See THE RUSSIAN REVIEW, 52, 1 (Jan. 1993), p. 97. The reviewer,
Galya Diment, expresses grave doubts over the author's vagueness in
defining "nostalgia" and faults her familiarity with prior scholarship.
Having read the work in manuscript some years ago, I can only concur.
