There are very interesting comments on "Chorb" in Julian
Connolly's "Nabokov's Early Fiction," in particular on Chorb's
neglect of the Kellers' parental feelings. This is very
important criticism of the protagonist's way of feeling and
thinking--however offensive the Kellers' faults may be.
