Isn't there also a reference in Pnin, published fiftysomething, to the pencil
sharpener that goes "Ticonderoga Ticonderoga ... and ends up in some kind of
soundlessly spinning void as we all must"? (Quoting without text at hand,
can't vouch for accuracy) Please correct this reference if incorrect.
