Dialog: Slavitt Bio-bib (fwd)

Body
EDITOR'S NOTE. NABOKV-L will be presenting a dialogue between two major
American writers, David Slavitt and Donald Harington, on their
relationship to Nabokov. Since the discussion will be more meaningful to
readers who have read some of the works of each writer, I have suggested
Harington's EKATERINA and Slavitt's ALICE AT EIGHTY. Both writers have
published a wide variety of work and in order to provide background
information, I have asked each to supply NABOKV-L with bio-bibs.
Since both writers have very long and imposing CVs, I have taken the
liberty of abridging the documents. Full information is available in the
_Contemporary Authors_ series and _Dictionary of Literary Biography_ volumes
cited in the CVs. The Slavitt bio-bib is below; that of Harington will
follow immediately.
