I'm not sure exactly what is meant by "the issue of names in Lolita," but
in addition to the work that Beth Sweeney and others have already
mentioned, I remember a fine paper on puns and echoes in LOLITA's
character names being given by Corinne Scheiner at a conference in
Lubbock, Texas three years ago. David Larmour of Texas Tech. has been
preparing an anthology of essays based on the conference proceedings
which, when it appears, might well include Scheiner's (the name of which
paper escapes me at this distant juncture), but in the meantime, the
author herself may still be reachable through the Comp. Lit. Dept. at U.
of Chicago. (or through NABOKV-L, perhaps?).
