Reading the Nabokov/Wilson letters, I get the impression that Dickens, a
late re-discovery for VN, made an enormous impression on him, particularly
Bleak House. Somewhere in his lecture on this novel he says something to
the effect that the world would be a better place if everyone read Dickens
for one hour a day. I tend to agree.
And of course there is Ada in ADA, as well as several other interesting
references to Bleak House...
