I just looked at the 29 March issue of the New Yorker and perused with
unalloyed delight, Nabokov's butterfly dream dated 23 November 1964. The
short Scrapbook piece includes a photograph of Vera and Vladimir hunting
butterflies at Six Mile Creek, somewhere near Ithaca, circa 1958. Nabokov's
coloured drawings and his notes on the "Morphology of the Genus Lycaeides."
I'm looking forward to Brian Boyd's publication of Nabokov's lepidoptera
articles and miscellanea.
