Adrian Lyne's movie will start playing this week here in Israel.
The movie gets a lot of attention. The distributer (Shapira Films) buys
full page adds all around the place. The movie is described here as: "the
story of a forbidden love, he is a highschool teacher and she is a
fourteen year old child"
The movie is introduced, quite clearly, as one more erotic film from
Adrian Lyne. A famous publishing house here celebrated it by giving free
copies of "Lolita" (the book) inside a specially baked bread. Kind of a
publicity stunt. The book, by the way, is a 12 year best-seller (it was
re-translated during the 80s).
