AT THE ANNUAL
AMERICAN LITERATURE ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND
MAY 27 - 30, 1999
TOPIC: "Appropriating Nabokov"
DEADLINE for PROPOSALS: December 31, 1998
The Nabokov Society invites abstracts on Vladimir Nabokov's AMERICAN
oeuvre from faculty and graduate students in English, Comparative
Literature, or Slavic Studies.
Paper presentations must be no longer than 20 minutes. Please submit an
abstract of approximately 300 words by mail, e-mail, or fax. Presenters
will be notified of acceptance by January 15, 1999.

The conference will be held at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel,
Baltimore, MD. Conference fee is $50.00 ($10.00 for graduate students,
independent scholars, and retired faculty).
