In "Glory"/"Podvig" chapter 33 (.141-2) (Chpater 34 in the Russian version
I am translating) the poet Bubnov drunkenly speaks about his love for
Sonia: "...that special light, the "kana-inum" of the ancient Khadir sages"
(Originally: "... osobyi svet "kana-inum" staryh hadirskih mudretsov".)
Is it related to islamic "green man" Al-Khadir or it's simply Bubnov's poetic
invention, only "sounds like", but means nothing? Martin "did not have
complete faith either in him or in the Khadir elders".
