I am sending this to the Nabokov list for a friend. Please respond to him
at wvest@rci.rutgers.edu
Thank you.

I know I've read an essay on Sebastian Knight in which V.'s
dream of the glove with the hands is focused on. The hands are
the other "authors" of SK's identity, the people V. has interviewed.
He decides at this point to become an "author" himself as opposed
to the collector of other views. Any reference would be appreciated.
Best,
WV
