With all the speculation on the Nabokov List on the meaning of certain
novels, "Pale Fire" especially, I always wonder what Nabokov told his son
what this novel meant. Surely they must have talked about it? Laughed about
the various interpretations. So why doesn't the son ever give the eager
waiting Audience a clue to what his father must have told him about the
meaning of his novels?
