"Your obedient servant" once was a standard epistolary closing and
nowadays has been shortened to "Yours" (which is not as common as the
ubiquitous "Sincerely").

Chapter 40:3
Percy de Prey's letter states upon end line.
"by your obedient servant."
Could this have any connection to the Aaron Burr, Alex. Hamilton duel?
Within correspondence between Burr and Hamilton, the men stated in mocking
duel of abbreviation "Have the honor to be Sir your Obdt st.". Is this a
echoing of a famous scene in American history or a simple formality of the
time? (May have been addressed in prior inter textual dissection), be
kind with the brambling of a fellow faithful follower.
