transliteration I'm not sure abut a couple of points: tatru" and the last
paragraph. Help?
And do give my regards to ms. Tselkova.

EDITOR's NOTE: "Sergey B. Il'in" <isb@glas.apc.org>, the major translator
of VN's English works into Russian, offers the following report on a
Moscow "evening" devoted to VN and the popular magazine "Ogenyok".
-----------------------------
The Evening, organized by the magazine OGONYOK (which is also celebrating
its centenary) took place on the 8th of March in the Central House of the
Artist on the Crimean Embankment.
The MC for the evening was Mikhail PozdnyaÄv.
The evening began with the showing of part of a film "Uzory Kaissy"
written and directed by Igor Lainer. Judging by the piece shown, it is a
documentary about the place occupied by chess in VN's life.
This was followed by the appearances of Sergey Ilyin; the poets--Andrey
Chernov, Dmitry Bykov, and Tatyana Scherbina; the French actress Kamij
Kajol who played Magda in the play "Kamera obscura"; and Mikhail Shul'man,
author of a book on VN). Music included violinist tatyna Grindenko with
the emsemble OPUS POST, and the saxophonist Igor Butman.
