The World-wide Nabokov Centenary has (and is) producing an awesome
quantity of new Nabokov-related bibliography. Far more than I can keep up
with. I am (and shall be) running what I cam manage but contributions are
much appreciated--especially of conference proceedings and special journal
issues.
---------------
The April 26, 1999 _New York Times Book Review_ carries Lyndall Gordon
review of Stacy Schiff's VERA: Mrs. Vladimir Nabokov_ (p. 34) and
entitled "Invitation to a Transformation," from the forthcoming
_Nabokov's Butterflies," edited and annotated by Brian Boyd and Robert
Michael Pyle. The excerpt is a hitherto unpublished bit on R.L.
Stevenson's _Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde_ that VN prepared for
his literature classes at Wellesley and Cornell.
