As it turned out, Kardakov was not only a lepidopterist, but
also a notable Russian bonist - namely, a person who
studies paper money as a source of historical
information. The thing is that Dieter Zimmer
who works on Kardakov's biography, doesn't think that
Kardakov was a bonist. He thinks that he was only a
lepidopterist, and there were two Nikolai Ivanovich
Kardakovs in Berlin at the time.
I wonder if there will be any responses of people to
clarify the issue.
