why not read Nabokov himself in his 'Lectures on Literature' or 'Lectures on
Russian Literature'. They will give you many a clue as to his notion of
aesthetic bliss.
I'd also suggest visiting 'Vladimir Nabokov: A Tribute', Peter Quennell, ed.
In particular, the latter contains the essay 'Nabokov: Homo Ludens' by Mark
Lilly. Lilly considers VN a sort of playful deity, and examines his
preference for the aesthetic over the useful ('utile'). Plus, there's also a
contribution in the Quennell by Martin Amis, who is always worth visiting on
VN.
