EDITOR's NOTE. The St. Petersburg Nabokov Museum is offering its summer
course NABOKOV 101 for the third year. Below you are advised of the
informative web page that has just been established for the program.
This year, two of the world's leading Nabokov scholars will preside --
Brian Boyd and Alexander Dolinin. It is a splendid opportunity to study
VN with two brilliant and accessible scholars in the family home. I plan
to attend myself.
---------------------------------------------
In order to answer numerous questions of Nabokov 101 participants, both
former and prospective, organizers of the International Summer School
for Students of Nabokov have prepared and launched a website (URL:
www.nabokov101.ru). Please check it to find out about the current
program, which will be held at the St. Petersburg Nabokov Museum on July
22-30, right after the Vladimir Nabokov Symposium. The website, full of
photos, also contains information about previous Nabokov 101 programs,
the Nabokov Museum, accommodations available to Nabokov scholars in St.
Petersburg, the intricacies of obtaining a Russian visa, and
Nabokov-themed tours of St. Petersburg's sites. Those who are interested
in participating in the Nabokov 101 program this summer will find
information about the school's faculty (Prof. Brian Boyd and Prof.
Alexander Dolinin), the courses they will offer (on Ada and Dar
respectively), and the reading lists. Questions and comments about the
program as well as about the site itself can be sent to Tatiana
Ponomareva at azint@mail.wplus.net or Olga Voronina at olvor@rol.ru.
