EDNOTE. VLADIMIR NABOKOV was among the major literary figures of Russian
and English literature of the XXth Century. We are fortunate to have a
handful of selfless souls who are dedicated preserving his home and
heritage in St. Petersburg. We all owe them our thanks and support. Below
are some remarks from a recent visitor to the Museum.

As a recent visitor to the museum, may I underscore what
Terry and Don have written. The staff went out of their way to show the
delights of the house, and turned a weekend in Russia into a Nabokov
pilgrimage. I was particularly delighted to see Terry's recent donation
(presented the previous day), and am exceptionally grateful to him and to
Yelena. All lovers of Nabokov should make an especial effort to get there.
