Fwd: VN and Kierkegaard again

Just to explain my previous post a little more:
Anderson's "The Little Mermaid" appears explicitly in Lolita, when
Humbert gives it to Dolores while she is in hospital. I was wondering
whether anyone knew of articles on or mentions of another Anderson
story, "Agnes and the Merman," in Lolita. Humbert does at one point
call himself a merman (and incidentally, in Pale Fire, Oleg acts in a
play called The Merman). This Anderson story is also used by
Kierkegaard in Problemata III of "Fear and Trembling," and I was
hoping to connect VN to Kierkegaard via the common usage of the
Anderson text.
Thanks again,
Ben
