Dear All,
The Russian translation of Vladimir Nabokov: The American Years, translated
by Maya Birdwood-Hedges, Alexandra Glebovskaya, Sergey Il'in and Tat'yana
Izotova (and reviewed by BB) as VLADIMIR NABOKOV; AMERIKANSKIE GODY, has
just been sumptuously published by Symposium Press, St Petersburg, and
Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Moscow. 927pp. ISBN 5-89091-232-1.
The Russian translation contains material (less than in volume 1) added to
or corrected from the English-language versions. All Russian texts,
including excerpts from Nabokov's otherwise unpublished Russian letters (to
Vera, for instance) are cited from the original Russian texts.
I think the price is $20.
Symposium (also the publishers of the standard 10-volume Russian edition of
