I lost much of the discussion of TT8, so delete this suggestion if it is
stale and smells bad.
The "long German name in two installments, with a nobiliary particle
between castle and crag" is going to be something on the order of "[Castle]
Von [Crag]" in which, when the appropriate substitutes are found for
'castle' and 'crag,' we will have an anagram of Vladimir Nabokov, eh?

EDNOTE. You can recover the TT-8 stuff from the Archive. I agree with your
generalization re X von Y but I've tried various German yerms without any
luck. Maybe a German subscriber can come up with something. There is,
however, already a German anagram for VB -- Baron von Librikov.
