1] Can someone explain the purpose of the repeated references to ADA?
2] Would the pencil/penis play extend to this being an old pencil, worn
down to but[t] a third of its original length? Or is it like the cigar
that was sometimes only a cigar?
3] Elias [a.k.a. Elijah] also escaped a difficult situation via [a chariot
of] fire; Bloom as well, like a shot from a shovel.
