Fwd: TLS on Pale Fire

I haven't noticed a mention on this list of the long essay by Abraham
Socher in the Times LIterary Supplement on Pale Fire, so I thought
I'd provide one on the unlikely chance no one has seen the issue.
Socher's lengthy essay suggests that Nabokov based Shade explicitly
on Robert Frost (whom he'd met and disliked) and that one of Frost's
poems plays a key role in unlocking the novel's mystery. I will
neither spoil the surprise here, nor insult Socher's piece by
fumblingly summarizing it.
The essay appeared on pages 13 and 14 of the July 1 issue of the TLS.
Forgive me if this is redundant.
