To be more precise, two alternative Latin names for the pheasant are
"Phasianus torquatus" or "Phasianus colchicus" [from Colchis, of course
now Adzharia in Georgia -- where Jason got his golden fleece.
"torquatus" sometimes is given as subspecies of "colchicus".
