Dear Dmitri,
That was the last line of the Divine Comedy (and I should have
written "l'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle", according
to the Princeton Dante Project at
<http://etcweb.princeton.edu/dante/pdp/>). Not to pretend
to learning I don't have, I admit I know the line only because
Sara Teasdale quoted it in a poem.
I'm hoping eagerly for your memories of your father's comments
on /Pale Fire/!
