Can you or somebody else give exact quote of VN on Leskov? VN and Leskov are
what one may characterize as great story-tellers, although in quite
different ways. 'Iron Will' is my personal favorite by Leskov - I would
expect that VN took a note of that story.

I think VN mentions Leskov in this context somewhere.
