Those who are interested to watch a short amateur film based on

This reminds me that some years ago I saw a British short film based on
Nabokov's story "The Potato Elf" (1924). I don't remember much of it,
but it
seems to me that the script had more in common with Serge Bertenson's
and
Irene Kosinska's English version (1939, 1969) rather than with the
accurate
translation by VN/DN (1973). I never saw this film mentioned in any
VN-related filmography.
