Someone (Carolyn?) recently asked whether or not we know if VN
possessed a copy of Hogg's Confessions. This question of what
VN may or may not have read has come up in other contexts as well.
Are the contents of VN's personal library listed somewhere? Has
an essay been published about this question? Forgive my ignorance
if the answer should be obvious.

[EDNOTE. Stephen Jan Parker's essay in The Garland Companion to VN
surveys the contents of VN's personal library but does not list
individual volumes. The Nabokovs did not collect or keep many books;
Parker estimates that they owned about 1,200 books (not counting copies
of VN's own works), most acquired at some point after 1940. -- SES]
