Vladimir Nabokov, possibly the greatest (little known) writer of the
20th century was a Linguist, Essayist, Teacher and Author, yet his
published works are read less than the “funny papers.”
So, this piece is for you out there who enjoy serious literature and,
well, for me.
Nabokov wrote several novels during his lifetime, the most recognized
(by far) was Lolita which has, since it’s publication, been translated
into many languages and played upon the silver screen.
Nabokov died in 1977 and as part of his last wishes, he decreed that an
unfinished work of his named “laura” be destroyed.
