Dear Slavic Folklorists on the List,
Does any of you know the Russian fairy tale Goluboi fazan ("The Blue Pheasnat")? The fairy tale (mentioned, in a strikingly "Nabokovian" context, by V. N. Zhitova in her "Reminiscences about the Family of I. S. Turgenev") is not in the Afanasiev collection. What other collections can contain it? Is it a folk tale, after all, or does it have an author?
Thank you,
Alexey
