1. [EDNOTE. I'm sorry that donning one of my non-Nabokov hats--a local poetry organization over which I preside held its own celebration of Bloomsday yesterday--prevented me from delivering this greeting more punctually. -- SES]

I would like to humbly postulate the possible existence of a band called Axel Rex (heavy metal, naturally) and its surprisingly tender farewell album, The Great Rosegray Never-to-Be-Had. But I hope more suggestions come in while I try to think of something better.
